Students Rock the Pitt Center on National Television |
|
The men’s basketball team fell to Mount St. Mary’s University in the NEC Championship game last week, but the energy inside the William H. Pitt Center was at a record high. The Pioneers were watched by 2,774 fans in attendance, along with thousands more as the game was broadcasted live on ESPN2.
“In all my years at SHU, I never felt such a buzz from the crowd,” head coach Dave Bike wrote in an email to staff, faculty, and students following Wednesday’s loss. “Tonight, a new bar was set with regards to fan support and spirit from everyone in attendance.”

Catholic University leaders from around the world met at SHU last week during the International Federation of Catholic Universities’ 77th meeting of the administrative board. About 30 Rectors discussed the recent conference the Federation held in Lisbon, which dealt with “Church, Culture, and the Catholic University-Looking to the Future.”.” |
