Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Program Awarded Accreditation

Sacred Heart University’s Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program, launched in the fall of 2006, has
received accreditation from the Connecticut
Department of Higher Education.

“I’m still on a high from the news of the accreditation
-it’s been wonderful,” said Dr. Pearl Jacobs, associate professor and chair for the Department of Criminal Justice. “The idea for the program came about four or five years ago, and the fact that we actually have done this is magnificent.”

Pioneers Win First NEC Indoor Track Title

Arman Dixon helped the Pioneers dethrone three-time defending champion Monmouth at the 2008 Northeast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Landover, MD. SHU totaled a meet-best 138 points to the Hawks' 124.5.
